Necessary products:
2 medium sized eggplants
100 g of dried Serena peppers
100 g of dried Serena tomatoes
50 g sunflower seed tahini or 50 g pre-soaked sunflower seeds
1 tbsp. Brown sugar
1 tsp smoked red pepper
1 salt to taste
Method of preparation:
Cut the eggplants into slices and soak them in water for 30 minutes. Soak the dried peppers and tomatoes in boiling water for 30 minutes. Wash the eggplants and bake them at 150 degrees in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until soft. Using a chopper, blender or food processor, mash the softened and drained peppers and tomatoes, the baked eggplants, tahini, sugar, salt and red pepper until the desired homogeneity is achieved. Serve the lutenica on crackers or simply as a snack.
Sweet peppers also have healing properties thanks to their high content of vitamin C. They save people from underdeveloped countries from serious diseases and complications.
Dried peppers with their bactericidal properties are very useful: they block the development of bacteria in food products even without cooking.
Since the 17th century, doctors have been prescribing peppers in powder form to sufferers of sciatica and also for problems with digestion and flatulence.
Modern physicians have confirmed the prescriptions of their predecessors by proving that they stimulate gastric secretions, favor the release of gases in the intestines, and act as a powerful vasodilator of the circulatory system.
