2 kg of pumpkin

1 kg of Serena prunes

2 kg of sugar

250 g of walnuts

1 tsp citric acid (limontuse)

Method of preparation:

Soak the cubed cleaned pumpkin for 2 hours in a lime solution made from 5 liters of water and 150 g of slaked lime. Prunes are soaked in boiling water for an hour. After that, both the pumpkin and the plums are allowed to drain well from the water. Put the sugar and 150 ml of water from the soaked plums in a pan and boil until the sugar melts. Then add the pumpkin and boil until the pieces become transparent and then add the plums, walnuts and cloves. Everything boils for another 5 minutes and the oven is turned off.
