Dried peppers with bulgur

10 dried peppers   SERENA 

1 tsp bulgur
2 onions
1 piece. carrots
two tablespoons tomato paste
1/3 tsp oil
1 tsp mint
½ tsp sol
garlic if desired


The first step in the recipe for lean stuffed peppers with bulgur is the preparation of peppers. Pour boiling water over them and leave them for about 5 minutes to soften. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and carrot (garlic) and stew them in the oil. Add the washed and drained bulgur and mix well. Add a teaspoon of salt, tomato paste and mint.
Once the stuffing is ready, fill the softened peppers with it and arrange them in a greased pan. Pour 1 ½ tea cup of water, cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 40 minutes to simmer well. Then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
