What do you need:
200 g of dried cherries SERENA
50 g butter
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
150 g of brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1i1 / 2 tsp - mix of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
1 pinch of salt
120 g of crushed walnuts
Bring 250 ml of water to a boil in a small saucepan. When the water boils, add the cherries, butter and baking soda, stir until the butter melts and allow to cool. Add the walnuts.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Beat the eggs and sugar into a fluffy cream. Add the mixture with fruits and nuts, stir. Sift the flour together with the baking powder and spices and mix gently.
Pour the dough into a silicone or greased and floured form - about 26 cm. Bake until the cake swells and the stick comes out clean - about an hour.
It becomes even more fragrant if poured while still warm with lemon glaze, prepared from 150g. powdered sugar and 3 tbsp. lemon juice.
